Madiku ga kale kwali ho nu muyayi undi vamulanga Musa na mukana wavo vamulanga Muhonja. Musa yali yayanza kwaitsa tsing'ombe na vivuli vavo vali vakutsa vatigara tsa vavili ndio. Ku Musa yatsitsa kwaitsa ni yilani sasa Muhonja alamwigulila muliango. Ku yatsa ku muliango ma asingila ku ma atanga kwimba:

Nahulilitsa malini mundu yigula dave. Lelo lwa yabomola muliango nanyola Muhonja linani liakumila. Yamanya natevelitsa natsia nanyola linani liveye tsa havundu navugula lubanga. Lwa yatsia aliteme, naliteva "ndeme yaha?" Nalio likola "halulu halulu." Lwa yamanya ateme munda Muhonja yamanya natula mu ma nivatula nivagaluka yengo. Lugano lwa luheli yaho.
Our Muhonja
Long time ago we had a boy by the name Musa and his sister was called Muhonja. Musa liked grazing cows and their parents had died leaving them alone. Musa continued to graze the cows and when the he came back home, Muhonja used to open the door for him. He used to come at the door then he starts to sing:
Our Muhonja*2
Am from grazing the cows, and
They are all the grazing place, and
They are for the sheep, and
And I am from there, and
Our only Muhonja
Open for me and
Then Muhonja could open the door. Then he eats and returns to the grazing place. Whenever he returned Muhonja used to close the door. An ogre used to come and begins to sing:

Am from grazing the cows, and
They are all the grazing place, and
They are for the sheep, and
And I am from there, and
Our only Muhonja
Open for me and
Muhonja used to tell him "no, you do not sound like Moses." The ogre could leave. The ogre went to a witch and asked him what he could do to have a voice like the one of Musa. The witch asked him to go and take honey, if he takes the honey the voice will be smooth. He used to go and starts to sing when Musa left. Then he begins:

Muhonja opened the door, when he opened the ogre swallowed her. After the ogre swallowed her Musa came and began to sing:

He listened keenly, but someone didn't open. When he broke the door, he found that the ogre had swallowed his sister Muhonja.
